I chose marketing as my major because I’ve always been fascinated by the way businesses connect with consumers and influence their decisions. The dynamic nature of the field, especially with the rise of digital platforms, sparked my interest in exploring how technology and consumer behavior intersect. Through various jobs, internships, and volunteering opportunities, I discovered I enjoy working to build meaningful customer experiences. This passion for both creativity and strategy made marketing the perfect fit for me.
Internship
Hyster-Yale Materials Handling - Aftermarket Sales Development Intern
During my time at Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, I gained hands-on experience in MarTech, Product Experience Management (PXM), and Product Information Management (PIM). I worked with InRiver to help shape product strategies and streamline product data. I also had the opportunity to meet with suppliers, which gave me valuable insights into product development processes. Collaborating with both the Aftersales and Marketing teams, I worked to improve customer engagement by ensuring accurate and consistent product information across all channels. My work also contributed to refining marketing strategies, ensuring our messaging aligned with customer needs and preferences. Overall, it was a rewarding experience that allowed me to directly impact customer engagement while supporting the company’s growth.

Aflac - Regional Recruiter

As a Regional Recruiter at Aflac, I am responsible for reaching out to potential candidates through marketing emails and direct contact to recruit individuals to join the company. I guide candidates through the entire recruitment process, helping them get licensed and supporting them every step of the way to ensure a smooth transition into their new roles. My role involves not only attracting talent but also providing ongoing support to ensure their success at Aflac.
Parks Jewels - Sales Associate
Greenville, NC
As a Sales Associate at Parks Jewels, I handled a mix of social media marketing, customer service, and sales tracking. I created engaging content and promotions to attract customers and boost brand visibility online. In the store, I helped customers find the perfect pieces, answered their questions, and made sure they had a great shopping experience. I also managed order fulfillment, carefully preparing and packaging purchases to ensure they arrived safely. Keeping track of sales and trends was another part of my role.
